On 25 April, 2023, we co-hosted a workshop on community conservation in Nepal along with Community Conservation, Inc., Greenhood Nepal and Community Conservation Nepal. The workshop aimed to bring together key organizations and individuals in Nepal who are working with communities to conserve biodiversity and explore approaches for community management and governance of biodiversity.

Participants shared their experiences with communities, discussed the need for a network to support community conservation, and identified lessons learned and future goals of community conservation in Nepal. We had an engaging and insightful discussion and we are grateful for everyone who participated.

We believe that community conservation is a model for the world and we will continue to work towards creating a network or platform to share Nepal’s experiences and success in community conservation. Thank you to all who joined us for this important conversation!
