Forging Partnerships: Exploring Living Mountain Lab at Godavari

On 13 February 2024, our team went to visit the Living Mountain Lab at Godavari with the main goal of exploring their innovative sustainable technologies and natural resource management models, and to forge partnerships for future collaboration.

We convened an initial four-party meeting with ICIMOD Living Mountain Lab, Ranibari Community Forest Users Group, and The Jane Goodall Institute Nepal to lay the groundwork for potential future collaborations.

We are thankful to Thomas Samuel Moloppomannil, Senior Communications Officer, ICIMOD, for coordinating the whole visit, and Yona Khaling Rai, Senior Associate at the ICIMOD Living Mountain Lab, for hosting us in the park and guiding us through the technology demonstration sites. It was a good learning experience for us all.

As an organization committed to fostering collaborations for ecological conservation, our visit to the Living Mountain Lab and the subsequent four-party meeting represent significant steps towards realizing our vision. By exploring innovative sustainable technologies and convening stakeholders for potential future collaborations, we are actively working towards our common goal of conserving our precious ecosystems. We recognize the importance of building strong partnerships and are grateful for the opportunity to engage with like-minded individuals and organizations who share our dedication to protecting the environment for future generations.

Moving forward, we remain open to productive partnerships, understanding that by joining forces, we can amplify our impact and achieve even greater results in our shared mission of ecological conservation.
