Successful GBIF Training Program Held at Central Campus of Technology, Dharan

The Central Campus of Technology, Dharan (CCT Dharan) in collaboration with the Nature Conservation and Study Center (NCSC) hosted a successful GBIF Training Program on Chaitra 15-16, 2080 (March 28-29, 2024).

The program featured Ms. Lily Shrestha, the distinguished Asia Regional Support Contractor of GBIF, as the keynote speaker. Ms. Shrestha’s expertise in biodiversity conservation and data management provided participants with valuable insights into utilizing GBIF’s resources and tools for research and conservation efforts.

Eleven participants, including students and faculty from CCT Dharan and a faculty member from Degree Campus, Biratnagar, attended the program. The training aimed to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to leverage GBIF’s extensive data and tools for biodiversity research and conservation initiatives.

This program aligns with the collective mission of CCT Dharan, NCSC, and GBIF to promote biodiversity conservation and empower individuals to contribute to this critical effort.
