Nepal needs to tackle number of serious threats to its ecology and environment.
Pollution is a significant threat to the ecology and environment of Nepal. The country’s rapid urbanization has led to an increase in air, water, and soil pollution, which can have negative impacts on human health and the environment. Nepal needs to start investing in renewable energy sources, such as hydropower, solar, and wind, and promoting sustainable transportation options, such as electric vehicles and public transportation.
Climate change is also a major concern in Nepal, with rising temperatures and changing weather patterns posing significant threats to the country’s natural resources and people. Implementing climate-resilient agricultural practices, promoting the use of clean energy, and investing in disaster preparedness and response programs is now more urgent than ever.
We need a proactive approach to addressing the threats to Nepal’s ecology and environment that are community-led, sustainable, and invest in renewable energy and climate-resilient infrastructure.
