Community Conservation Workshop was organized in Kathmandu during 23-24 September, 2022. It covered the basics of community conservation with hands-on practice of developing methods, including initiating relationships, co-designing and implementing the projects with communities.

Ecological documentary – Bats for balanced ecosystem
To spread awareness on the important role of fruit-bats as pollinators, a filmmaking crew was deployed on site to capture the pollination process of Chiuri flowers during December 2021. The documentary is now available in Nepali language with Nepali and English subtitles in our official YouTube channel.

Interaction Session on Croaking Monsoon 2022
A short interaction session on “Croaking Monsoon 2022” was held with about 300 students at Creative Academy, Kirtipur with Environment Protection and Study Center.

One-day workshop on occupancy modeling with R
NCSC organized a one-day workshop on occupancy modeling with R on July 10, 2022. The workshop was aimed as an introduction class on occupancy for wildlife students and researchers.

Celebrating National Pollinators Week 2022 in Dharan
We are also celebrating the National Pollinators Week 2022 in collaboration with Bino Foundation, Central Campus of Technology and Nepal Students Association of Microbiology in Dharan.

To celebrate this week, Nature Conservation and Study Centre (NCSC) with Butterfly Watchers Nepal group and Bhaktapur Jaycees is going to organize a week-long hiking program around the forests of Bhaktapur.

NCSC team partnered with Community Conservation, Inc. and Community Conservation Nepal to participate in the Women of the World (WOW) Festival 2022 organized by the British Council on 15-16 April 2022 at Lumbini World Heritage Site.

We organized a hiking to mark National Learn About Butterflies Day and a charity program to organize Handmade Sanitary Pad Training in rural school of Nepal in collaboration with Bhaktapur Jaycees and Butterfly Watchers Nepal.

2 February 2022 – Pedal For Conservation: On the Occasion of World Wetland Day 2022
Considering the importance of awareness campaign Bhaktapur Jaycees has conceptualize to organize a cycling program with a theme of “Pedal for Conservation”. The main objective of this activity is to promote the understanding of the problematic issues that the world wetland has been facing and how a small act or the action of the people can assist in the conservation of Nature.

NCSC is organizing a two-day outreach program for school children on Fishing cat and its Habitat, focused on conservation of fishing cats, role of communities in conservation, basic wildlife monitoring, and project updates.
