Nature Conservation and Study Centre (NCSC) is excited to announce the signing of three key Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) in recent weeks, 1. Central Campus of Technology (CCT), Dharan, 2. Degree Campus, Biratnagar, and 3. Research Association Hattisar – RAH, CCT, Dharan, solidifying its commitment to collaborative biodiversity conservation efforts in Nepal.
Building Capacity for the Future:
On December 1st, NCSC signed an MOU with the Central Campus of Technology (CCT), Dharan. This partnership aims to build the capacity of faculty and students in biodiversity research and study, foster collaborative conservation activities and research projects, and bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical conservation implementation.
Following closely on December 5th, NCSC signed a similar MOU with the Degree Campus (also known as Post Graduate Campus) in Biratnagar. This agreement will further strengthen NCSC’s presence in eastern Nepal and facilitate joint research initiatives, faculty development programs, and student engagement in conservation activities.
Empowering Student Engagement:
On November 30th, NCSC entered into an MOU with the Research Association of Hattisar – RAH, a student organization based at CCT. This partnership focuses specifically on collaborating on conservation activities and research initiatives. NCSC has already successfully partnered with RAH in celebrating Save the Frogs Day and Pollinators Week, demonstrating the potential impact of such collaborations.
A Collaborative Future:
These MOUs mark a significant step forward for NCSC in its mission to conserve Nepal’s rich biodiversity. By collaborating with academic institutions and student organizations, NCSC can leverage expertise, resources, and passion to achieve greater impact. The partnerships will create opportunities for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and innovative research, ultimately leading to more effective and sustainable conservation practices.
NCSC remains committed to working with diverse stakeholders across Nepal to ensure a thriving future for nature and its communities.
