We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Conservation Evidence. This is a testament to our joint dedication to preserving biodiversity and enhancing the resilience of conservation practices.
CONSERVATION EVIDENCE stands as a trusted and invaluable resource, dedicated to facilitating informed decisions in biodiversity maintenance and restoration. They aggregate scientific evidence from conservation literature, publish new research, and offer comprehensive guidance and tools to conservationists and organizations worldwide.
By working in synergy, we aim to achieve more for the cause of conservation and gain a deeper understanding of each other’s work.
We will collaborate to enhance the testing, monitoring, and reporting of conservation interventions at all scales, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon standards.
As an Evidence User, NCSC has its commitment to evidence-based decision-making by consulting the Conservation Evidence database when making conservation management decisions.
While not yet an Evidence Advocate, we have plans to teach the principles of evidence use in conservation and provide training.
As an Evidence Creator, NCSC is beginning to collect baseline data to experimentally test the effectiveness of conservation actions. We plan to publish the results of these tests, either in peer-reviewed journals or publicly accessible reports.
Through this partnership, we embark on a journey to strengthen conservation practices, empower communities, and contribute to the global effort to preserve our planet’s rich biodiversity. Together, we celebrate evidence-based conservation as a powerful tool for a sustainable and harmonious coexistence with nature.
